About the Civic Information Index

The Civic Information Index was co-created in fall 2024 by The Listening Post Collective at Internews and the Information Futures Lab at Brown University, in partnership with an Advisory Group of civic and data experts, journalists and information ecosystem leaders. The 2024 Index was made possible with support from Press Forward, and the dashboard build out and 2026 edition was supported by Democracy Fund.
